Westlake is our home. It became Palm Beach County's 39th municipality on June 22, 2016, built on land that was known for decades as the Seminole Improvement District. Minto Communities bought about 3,800 acres in 2013 and started turning farmland into a planned city, and the growth since has been fast: the 2020 census counted about 900 residents, and the 2025 estimate put the population above 9,000.
