DTF gang sheets explained
DTF stands for direct to film. Your artwork is printed in full color with a white underbase onto a clear film, coated with adhesive powder, and cured. You then heat press the transfer onto the garment. There are no color limits, no screens, and no minimum order per design, and it works on cotton, polyester, and blends.
A gang sheet puts many designs on one sheet. That makes it the efficient way to order DTF transfers for team rosters, shop orders, events, and small brands that need a mix of sizes and quantities. Arnold Prints is a print shop in Westlake, Florida, serving Palm Beach County and customers across the United States.
Pick your sheet length
| Sheet length | A good fit for |
|---|---|
| 24 inches (minimum) | A few full size designs, or a page of small logos and left chest prints |
| 36 to 60 inches | A small team order, or a batch of mixed designs |
| 72 to 120 inches | A full roster with names and numbers, or several customer orders together |
| 180 to 300 inches | Production runs and full rolls for shops that press every week |
The builder shows your total length as you add artwork, so you only pay for the sheet you build.
How to press hot peel DTF transfers
- Preheat the garment for 2 to 3 seconds to remove moisture.
- Place the transfer with the printed side down and press at about 300 to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (150 to 160 Celsius) for 10 to 15 seconds with medium to firm pressure.
- Peel the film while it is still hot, in one smooth motion.
- Cover the design with parchment or a Teflon sheet and press again for 2 to 5 seconds to finish.
This is a typical starting point. Settings vary by film, fabric, and press, so test on your own garment first.
Questions about DTF gang sheets
What is a DTF gang sheet?
A gang sheet is one long sheet of DTF film with many designs printed on it together, so you pay for one sheet instead of one transfer at a time. You can fit different designs, sizes, and quantities on the same sheet and press them as you need them.
What is hot peel DTF?
Hot peel transfers are peeled from the film right after pressing, while the garment is still hot. That makes production faster than cold peel, and it works on cotton, polyester, and blends.
Do I need an account to order?
No. You can build and order as a guest. If you have a wholesale or custom pricing account, sign in first so your own pricing applies in the builder.
What file should I upload?
A PNG with a transparent background at the size you want to print works best, ideally at 300 DPI. Solid backgrounds print as white boxes, and the builder warns you before checkout if it spots one or if a file is low resolution.
Can I save my artwork for next time?
Yes. When you are signed in, your uploads and past sheets are saved in File Folders, where you can organize them in folders and add them to a new sheet in one click.
How fast can I get my DTF transfers?
Standard production is 1 to 2 business days. Next day and same day options are available at checkout. Local pickup is available at our shop in Westlake, Florida.
What is the minimum sheet and the longest sheet?
The minimum sheet is 24 inches long and sheets are 12.3 inches wide. A single sheet runs up to 300 inches. Anything longer is split into extra sheets automatically and added to your cart together.
How do I press DTF transfers?
A typical starting point is 300 to 320 degrees Fahrenheit (150 to 160 Celsius) for 10 to 15 seconds with medium to firm pressure. Peel the film while it is still hot in one smooth motion, then cover the design with parchment and press again for 2 to 5 seconds to finish. Always test on your own garment and follow your film and fabric guidance.
