Before Application: Surface Prep

Clean Both Surfaces: Use a mild, non-abrasive detergent and water to thoroughly clean the car surface and the magnetic back of your sign.

Dry Completely: Both the vehicle surface and the magnet must be 100% dry before application. Trapped moisture can weaken the magnet's grip.

Flatten the Magnet: Since magnets are shipped rolled, place them on a clean, flat metal surface (like a refrigerator or metal table) for at least 24 hours to restore their magnetic memory and ensure they lie perfectly flat.

Flat Surfaces Only: Apply the magnet only to a smooth, flat, metal surface. Avoid all curves, body molding, pinstriping, and non-metallic areas (like some bumpers or body filler). Any gap or air pocket drastically reduces the holding strength.

DO NOT Apply Over Waxes or Films: For optimal adhesion and to protect your paint, never apply the magnets over ceramic waxes, standard automotive waxes, or paint protection films (PPF). These coatings can interfere with the magnet-to-metal bond.
