What UV Printing Adds to Our Shop
Laser engraving is permanent, single-tone, and unbeatable for contrast. UV printing is its full-color partner: cured ink laid directly onto the surface at 720 x 1440 dpi, with white ink underneath so colors stay vivid even on dark materials, plus gloss, matte, and raised-texture varnish finishes.
- UV printed patches: full-color logos on leatherette patch blanks, heat-applied to caps just like our laser engraved patches
- UV printed tumblers and drinkware: full-color logos on cylindrical items using rotary printing, covering most tumbler and mug styles
- Promotional products: pens, keychains, phone cases, acrylic awards, wood, metal, glass, and ceramic items

Frequently Asked Questions
UV Printed Patches vs. Laser Engraved Patches: what's the difference?
Laser engraved patches (available now on our Laser Engraved Patches page) cut and etch leather or leatherette; the result is single-tone contrast. UV printed patches lay down full CMYK color with a white ink base directly on the surface, so you get photo-realistic logos, gradients, and unlimited colors. Laser is available today; UV printing is launching soon.
UV Printing vs. Sublimation for custom patches: which is better?
Sublimation only works on polyester or poly-coated substrates and requires white or light-colored material to show color accurately. UV printing cures ink directly onto a much wider range of surfaces, including leatherette, without that substrate restriction, and holds sharper edges on fine detail.
Can you UV print on tumblers?
Yes. Rotary UV printing wraps full-color artwork around cylindrical drinkware and covers most tumbler and mug styles. For single-color permanent marking we will still recommend laser engraving, and for full-color logos UV will be the pick.
What equipment will you run?
The xTool Omni O1 UV printer: CMYK plus white ink and varnish, 720 x 1440 dpi, rotary printing for drinkware, and raised-texture varnish effects. It joins our xTool F2 Ultra and xTool P2 laser systems, so every job runs on the machine best suited to it, all under one roof in Westlake, FL.
