Frequently Asked
Questions
Everything you need to know about our services, pricing, turnaround times, and how to work with us. Can't find your answer? We're one call away.
General
The basics — who we are, where we are, and how to get started.
Location
We're located at 17246 43rd Rd N, Westlake, FL 33470. We serve Palm Beach County and all of South Florida, with nationwide and worldwide shipping. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday 10AM–3PM, and Saturday by appointment.
Services
We offer screen printing, embroidery, DTF (direct to film) transfers, wide format printing, laser engraving, custom stickers and decals, team store setup, contract printing, and fulfillment services. We work with retail customers, businesses, government accounts, sports teams, and wholesale decorators.
Quotes
Fill out our online quote form or call us at (561) 323-7573. We respond within 1 business day. For DTF transfers, you can order directly online — no quote needed.
Turnaround
Yes. Rush turnaround (3–5 business days) is available on most services. Same-week availability depends on our current production schedule — call (561) 323-7573 to confirm before placing a rush order.
Artwork
We prefer vector files: AI, EPS, or PDF. High-resolution PNG or TIFF (300 DPI minimum at print size) are also accepted. We can assist with basic artwork cleanup — complex custom design work is quoted separately. Do not send files embedded in Word docs or screenshots.
B2B
Yes. We are an active vendor for government and municipal accounts including Palm Beach County agencies. We support purchase orders (PO), net-30 billing, and Florida state contract procurement. Contact us with your agency details to get set up.
Screen Printing
Best for bulk orders, bold graphics, and cost-effective large runs.
Minimums
Our standard minimum is 24 pieces per design. If you need fewer than 24 pieces, DTF transfers are often the better and more cost-effective option — no minimums, same quality.
Pricing
Screen printing starts from approximately $6.50/shirt for a standard 1-color run of 24+ pieces. Pricing varies by quantity, number of ink colors, garment type, and placement locations. Larger quantities drive the per-piece cost down significantly. Get an exact quote for your project.
Colors
We can print up to 8 spot colors per location. Each additional color adds cost (separate screen per color). For photorealistic or gradient-heavy designs with many colors, DTF transfers are typically a better fit and often lower cost.
Garments
Yes — we accept customer-supplied garments. Note that we cannot guarantee replacements for misprints on customer-supplied items. We recommend ordering through us via our supplier network to eliminate this risk. A print-ready mockup is required before production.
Ink Types
We use plastisol, water-based, and discharge inks depending on the application. Plastisol is the most durable and vibrant for standard decorative prints. Discharge and water-based inks provide a softer hand feel and work best on 100% cotton. Specialty finishes like foil, metallic, and puff are also available — ask when quoting.
Placement
Standard locations include left chest, full front, full back, left/right sleeve, and back yoke. Each additional print location is priced separately. Oversized prints (jumbo front/back) are available — note that larger prints require more ink and longer cure time, which may affect pricing.
Embroidery
Premium raised thread decoration for hats, polos, bags, and uniforms.
Minimums
Typically 12 pieces per design. Some items or custom requests may have different minimums — contact us to confirm before ordering.
Setup
Yes — a one-time digitizing fee applies when we convert your artwork into an embroidery file. This fee is paid once. After that, your digitized design is stored on file and used for all future orders at no additional charge.
Hats
Yes. We do flat embroidery and 3D puff embroidery on structured and unstructured caps, trucker hats, beanies, and visors. 3D puff adds dimensional height to letters and shapes — popular for athletic and streetwear branding.
Design
Embroidery works best with bold text, solid shapes, and logos with defined outlines. Very fine details, thin lines under 1mm, gradients, and photorealistic images don't translate well to thread. We'll advise on any artwork adjustments needed during the digitizing process.
Items
We embroider polo shirts, dress shirts, jackets, hoodies, hats/caps, beanies, bags, tote bags, towels, patches, and more. If the item can fit in our embroidery hoop and the fabric can accept a needle, we can likely do it. Ask us about non-standard items.
Thread
We match thread colors to your artwork using Madeira or Isacord thread color charts. Most designs use between 1–8 thread colors. There's no hard color limit, but complex multi-color designs increase run time and cost. We'll advise on any color simplifications that improve quality and value.
DTF Transfers
Full-color, no-minimum transfers for any fabric — retail and wholesale.
What Is It
DTF (Direct to Film) produces a full-color printed transfer that is heat-pressed onto virtually any fabric. It's ideal for small runs, photo-realistic art, gradients, and complex multi-color designs. Works on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, and more. No minimums.
Wholesale
Yes — we have a dedicated wholesale DTF portal with a gang sheet builder, pricing starting from $0.02/sq in, and a DTF Profit Calculator subscription for decorators. Wholesale accounts get volume pricing tiers. Contact us or visit the wholesale DTF page.
Gang Sheets
A gang sheet is a single film sheet with multiple different designs nested together to maximize the printable area and lower your cost per transfer. Our online gang sheet builder lets you upload, arrange, and size your designs before ordering. You pay per square inch of the full sheet.
Application
Yes. DTF transfers are applied with a heat press at 320°F (160°C) for 10–15 seconds, medium pressure, hot peel or cold peel depending on the transfer spec. You can order transfers from us and press them yourself — no specialized equipment beyond a heat press is needed. We can also press for you if needed.
Durability
When properly applied, DTF transfers are wash-resistant and highly durable — comparable to quality screen printing. They maintain vibrant color through repeated machine washing. Avoid bleach and high-heat dryer settings to maximize longevity. Stretch resistance is excellent on most fabrics.
vs Screen Print
DTF: best for under 24 pieces, complex artwork, gradients, photo prints, mixed sizes in one order, or fast turnaround. Screen printing: best for 24+ pieces of the same design, simpler bold graphics, and lowest per-unit cost at volume. We'll recommend the right method when you get a quote.
Wide Format Printing
Banners, signage, vehicle graphics, and large-format displays.
What We Print
We produce vinyl banners, retractable banners, coroplast signs, foam board, canvas prints, wall graphics, window clings, vehicle wraps, floor graphics, table runners, and event displays. If it's large format print, we likely do it — contact us with your specific need.
File Setup
For wide format, submit files at 100% print size at 100–150 DPI, or at 25% scale at 300 DPI. Vector AI/PDF is best for graphics with text. For photos, high-res JPG or TIFF at the correct output resolution is fine. Always include bleed on bordered designs.
Turnaround
Standard wide format turnaround is 2–4 business days after artwork approval. Rush same-day or next-day production is available on select items depending on size and substrate — call to confirm rush availability before submitting.
Vehicle Wraps
Yes — we produce full and partial vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, and door magnets. We require vehicle dimensions or a template file. Full vehicle wraps include design, print, laminate, and installation quote. Contact us with your vehicle make/model/year to get started.
Laser Engraving & Specialty
Engraving, stickers, decals, patches, and custom specialty decoration.
Laser
We engrave on wood, acrylic, leather, glass, coated metals, anodized aluminum, and select plastics. Common applications include awards, trophies, name badges, plaques, promotional items, and custom product branding. Not all metals can be engraved — contact us with your material.
Stickers
Yes. We produce die-cut, kiss-cut, clear, white, holographic, and outdoor-rated vinyl decals and stickers. No minimums on most sticker orders. Great for product labeling, branding, vehicle decals, and promotional giveaways. Submit vector artwork for best results.
Patches
Yes — we offer embroidered patches, PVC/rubber patches, and woven patches with iron-on, sew-on, or Velcro backing. Patches are popular for uniforms, tactical gear, hats, and bags. Minimum quantities apply depending on patch type — contact us for a quote.
Sublimation
Yes. Sublimation produces full-color, all-over prints on polyester and polyester-coated substrates — including sports jerseys, mugs, phone cases, mousepads, and custom cut-and-sew apparel. Colors are permanently dyed into the material for a soft feel and zero fade. Works only on light-colored poly fabrics.
Team Stores
Custom online shops for teams, departments, and organizations.
What Is It
A team store is a custom-branded online shop we build for your organization — sports team, school, fire department, business, or municipality. Members browse and order decorated merchandise directly. Arnold Prints handles all production, payment processing, and fulfillment. You don't touch inventory.
Setup Time
Typically 5–7 business days from artwork approval to store going live. We handle product setup, pricing, branding, and the ordering portal. Contact us to kick off the process — we'll need your logo and a list of products you want available.
Cost
Team store setup is typically free for qualifying accounts. A minimum order volume or pre-approved product commitment may apply depending on the store structure. Contact us for details on your specific use case.
Window vs Open
Both options are available. Fundraiser/window stores collect orders over a set period (e.g. 2 weeks) and then go into production in one batch — lowest per-item cost. Open stores run year-round with on-demand production. We'll recommend the right model based on your group size and order volume.
Orders & Payments
Proofs, payments, shipping, and our reprint policy.
Payment
We accept credit/debit cards, Zelle, and check. A 50% deposit is required before production begins. The remaining balance is due at pickup or before shipment. Government and municipal accounts with approved terms may be invoiced net-30.
Net Terms
Net-30 terms are available for qualifying accounts — government agencies, municipalities, and established businesses with a credit application on file. Contact us to apply. First-time orders from new accounts typically require a deposit regardless.
Proofs
Yes — we send a digital proof for every order before anything enters production. No job moves to the shop floor without your written approval. Review proofs carefully — changes after approval may incur additional fees or restart the production timeline.
Reprints
If we make an error — wrong color, wrong placement, or production defect — we will reprint at no charge. Report quality issues with photos within 5 business days of delivery. Issues arising from approved artwork or customer-supplied garment defects are not covered under this policy.
Shipping
Yes. We ship nationwide via UPS and FedEx. Local pickup is also available at our Westlake, FL location Monday–Friday 10AM–3PM. International shipping is available for select products — contact us for rates and lead times.
Cancellations
Orders can be modified or cancelled before artwork approval without penalty. Once you approve the proof and production begins, changes may not be possible and cancellations are subject to forfeiture of the deposit to cover setup and production costs incurred.
