The city of about 37,600 was incorporated in 1922 and is home to the Port of Palm Beach, the fourth busiest container port in Florida and a major shipping point for the Caribbean. Suncoast Community High School, a magnet school with IB, engineering and computer science programs, draws students from across the county.
