Southwest Ranches is Broward's rural holdout. The town incorporated in 2000 as the county's 30th municipality, and it has worked hard to stay semirural ever since: zoning requires minimum one acre lots and generally keeps out streetlights and sidewalks, and the town has built multiuse equestrian trails instead. About 7,600 people live here, at the eastern edge of the Everglades, with Griffin Road, Sheridan Street and Flamingo Road as the main roads through town.
The town describes itself as full of grazing animals, nurseries and farms, and that is who orders printing here.
