Why departments mark their gear
Accountability
Radios, batteries, and cases move between rigs, stations, and shifts. A printed unit or asset number tells everyone where it belongs.
Faster inventory
Sequential numbers and scannable QR tags make audits and shift checks quicker than reading serial plates.
Fewer lost items
Gear left at a scene, a hospital, or a mutual aid call finds its way home when it is clearly marked.
What we mark
Pelican and hard cases
Department seal, unit number, and contents label on the lid. Small and mid size cases print directly; larger cases get a printed ID plate that mounts to the lid.
Portable radios
Unit or position ID on the radio body, run in batches with a fixture so every radio lands in the same spot.
Radio and tool batteries
Numbered batteries so charging banks and swaps stay organized.
Med bags and kit panels
Hard panels, ID plates, and tags for jump bags and drug boxes.
Helmet and equipment ID
ID plates and tags printed in full color, ready to mount.
Asset tags
Durable printed tags with QR codes or barcodes tied to your inventory system.
Direct print or mounted ID plate
Our UV printer prints directly on items up to about 13 by 16.5 inches and roughly 5.9 inches tall. Taller or oversized items, like large Pelican cases, get a full color ID plate: your seal and unit number UV printed on aluminum or acrylic, then mounted to the item. We recommend the right method for each item in your quote.

Frequently asked questions
Can you print unit numbers on radios?
Yes. We print unit or position IDs directly on portable radio housings, in batches with a fixture so placement matches across the whole fleet.
Can you mark large Pelican cases?
Small and mid size cases print directly. Larger cases that do not fit under the printer get a full color ID plate, printed on aluminum or acrylic and mounted to the lid.
Can every item have a different number?
Yes. Send a spreadsheet and we print each number in sequence in one run, with a proof first.
Can you add QR codes or barcodes?
Yes. We can print QR codes or barcodes that link to your asset or inventory system.
Will the print hold up?
UV ink cures hard on the surface. Because plastics vary, we recommend a test piece on your exact item before a full run.
Do you work with fire departments?
Yes. Arnold Prints has supplied fire rescue and municipal agencies around Palm Beach County since 2013.
Where are you located?
Westlake, Florida. Drop off and pick up at the shop, or ship to us.
